CONSIDERATIONAt Physicians' Clinic of Iowa, we are focused on delivering quality patient care. Our Department of Health Information Services is currently seeking a full time Medical Records Clerk.

Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Will monitor faxes and incoming documentation.

Responsible for scanning/downloading information into patients electronic health records.

Notifying providers when results are available.

Monitoring the electronic health record to ensure completeness of documentation.

Will respond to requests for patient records by providing the records to external agencies.

Provides phone coverage inclusive of answering incoming calls to medical records, routing calls to appropriate party, and communicating with patients or other appropriate parties. May assist walk in patients with request for their medical records.
Qualifications:
Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.

Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.

Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
