Job Summary About the Role At Mass General Brigham, every document tells part of a patient's story. As a Document Management Clerk, you'll play an important role in ensuring patient information is accurately maintained, organized, and accessible to support high-quality care across our healthcare system. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys administrative work and wants to build a career within healthcare. You'll work closely with medical records and clinical documentation, helping ensure important patient information is properly reviewed, processed, and incorporated into Epic, our electronic health record (EHR) system. Through your work, you'll help ensure clinicians have access to complete and accurate patient information when they need it most. Schedule & Location
  • 100% onsite in Haverhill, MA
  • Monday-Friday schedule, no weekends or holidays!
  • Standard hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Some flexibility with start and end times may be available What You'll Do
  • Review, sort, and process incoming patient documentation from a variety of sources, including fax, email, mail, and internal systems
  • Determine the appropriate placement of documents within the electronic medical record
  • Scan and upload paper records into Epic and other electronic systems while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
  • Organize and maintain both physical and electronic documents in accordance with organizational policies
  • Ensure patient information is handled securely and confidentially at all times
  • Respond to documentation and record requests from authorized healthcare professionals
  • Track and monitor document workflows to ensure records are complete and up to date
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient patient record management Qualifications Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management preferred Experience
  • 1-2 years of records management experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of health information management principles, HIPAA regulations, and electronic health record systems
  • Epic experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of documents accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
