5 Detroit, MI Job Details Full-time | Contract 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Computer operation Microsoft Excel Electronic health records (EHR) management Phone communication HIPAA Medical scheduling Medical records Clean workspace maintenance Managing patient records Medical terminology Technical Proficiency Full Job Description This is an independent contractor position. The subcontractor will receive a 1099 at the end of each year. Work is based on available contracts which are subject to busy and slow times. Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Travel to various medical provider sites around the state of Michigan to retrieve medical records
  • Help schedule your onsite appointments
  • Communicate project progress with Scanning Sherpas personnel
  • Interact with provider office staff and Scanning Sherpas personnel in a professional manner
  • Work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Compensation is performance based Job requirements:
  • Must reside in the state of Michigan and have the ability to travel around the state
  • Proficient with computers and other hardware (printers, scanners, flash drives)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Reliable car and willingness to travel around Michigan
  • Proficient in medical terminology and medical records
  • Proficient in learning new software programs quickly, specifically EHR, on the go without outside help
  • Incredibly professional, amiable and well-mannered in stressful situations
  • Meticulous and clean in the workplace
  • Excellent communicator in person, on the phone and via email
  • Must pass HIPAA and FWA training tests
  • Must pass a thorough criminal background check and a drug test
  • Strong cell and home internet connections
