March 31, 2026 Full-Time On-site Locations Showing 1 location Woodsville, NH 03785, USA Job Details Description This role is responsible for supporting Health Information Management (HIM) functions by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely processing of medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and Cottage Hospital policies. Key responsibilities include performing Release of Information (ROI) services by logging and tracking all requests in ROI software and responding within state-required timelines. The position conducts comprehensive chart analysis within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) records, identifying missing documentation, signatures, and valid orders, and initiating appropriate provider queries and chart comments. The role determines chart completion status and readiness for coding in accordance with HIM policies. Additional duties include daily review of EMR worklists to monitor outstanding queries and deficiencies, scanning paper documents into the EMR within required timeframes, and maintaining tracking systems for pathology reports to ensure all documentation is received and properly filed. The position also supports departmental workflow by managing document pickup and mail distribution, performing charge analysis as assigned, and keeping leadership informed of workload and backlog status. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical record standards, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
