Job Description

Medical Records Technician - Non-Clinical Case Management Support Support the Vermont Army National Guard The Vermont Army National Guard (VTARNG) is seeking detail-oriented Medical Records Technicians to support Non-Clinical Case Management operations for Service Members. This role supports the VTARNG Office of the Deputy State Surgeon by assisting with medical documentation, records management, case coordination support, and readiness tracking activities.

Monday-Friday, 0730-1630
Telework:
Authorized based on operational requirements
Weekend Support:
Occasional support for Soldier Readiness events may be required
Period of Performance:
begins July 12, 2026 Key Responsibilities Maintain and organize medical and case management records Assist with case tracking, data entry, and records processing Support non-clinical case management operations and readiness reporting Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of records Coordinate records requests and documentation management Support compliance with HIPAA, PII, and DoD information security requirements Assist with administrative and operational support activities Minimum Qualifications Experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or medical office support Knowledge of electronic medical records systems preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting military, VA, TRICARE, or government healthcare environments Familiarity with medical terminology and case management processes Security & Compliance Requirements Selected candidates must be able to: Obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) Successfully complete background screening requirements Complete required DoD and Army training and compliance requirements Compensation Compensation is competitive and aligned with applicable Service Contract Labor Standards.
