Job Description

Provides support to records throughout the organization. As a Document Scanning Technician, you will perform routine activities related to the scanning of records for multiple business units; prepare boxes and files for scanning, operate various data imaging equipment, perform quality reviews, and enter meta data and source information according to business area guidelines. We are currently seeking candidates to fill our Document Scanning Technician role for a 3-5 year assignment. This position will be located on-site at the Dixon-Stevens Point Office and will be regularly scheduled to work Full-time 40 - hours a week. The hours for this position are between 7 am- 5 pm, Monday-Friday. What You'll Do Performs various activities as they relate to scanning of physical files and records. Prepares documents for scanning, which may include document sorting, page separation, photocopying, unbinding, and repositioning files to optimize scan quality. Scans documents, edits electronic content, including cropping and image rotation and verifies quality of digital images. Create and edit basic descriptive information about scanned documents, input meta data and source information according to business requirements. Performs quality control checks on scanned documents to ensure images have a high degree of clarity and readability. Ability to troubleshoot and communicate with others about problems or solutions. Performs other job-related duties as assigned from time to time. What it Takes Successfully perform routine and repetitive tasks. High School Diploma or equivalent work experience preferred Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Ability to accurately and efficiently enter and verify data on a PC with a high attention to detail Mechanical skills to aid in the identification and resolution of equipment issues. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy. Lift carry up to 35 pounds. Ability to push/pull carts weighing between 10-300 lbs.
