Job Description

Medical Receptionist Katmai Oncology Group is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Anchorage and Eagle River locations! As Alaska's largest oncology practice, Katmai Oncology Group provides top-tier cancer care with a patient-centered philosophy. We are the only QOPI certified clinic in southcentral Alaska making us the premier choice for cancer treatment in Alaska.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Prior experience in a medical practice is a plus. Prior experience with an electronic health system is a plus. Strong attention to detail Responsibilities Greet and assist patients as they arrive at the medical office, ensuring a welcoming environment. Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems. Handle phone inquiries and provide information regarding services and procedures. Process patient information while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Support medical staff with clerical tasks and maintain the organization of medical records. Ensure the front desk area is tidy and equipped with necessary supplies. Checking patient in and out. Check in and "track" patients. Work closely with the other receptionists to maintain clinic workflow. Collecting patients co-pay, co-insurance, and/or deductibles at the time of service.
