Job Description

Medical Receptionist Full time Monday- Friday 10am- 6pm
Details:
We are a busy physical therapy clinic looking for a dynamic medical receptionist / scheduler with a professional, positive and team player attitude. Regular attendance, and outstanding customer service are a must.
Essential Functions:
1. Greet patients and give them a pleasant and welcoming experience Responsible for general office duties, including answering multiline phone system, relaying messages, data entry, scheduling patients, scanning paperwork into medical records, patient follow up, assisting with insurance benefits and authorizations and maintaining front desk cleanliness. 2. Responsible for administrative duties, such as making copies, printing handouts, maintaining electronic patient records completely and accurately 3. Maintaining multi provider schedule 4. Responsible for alerting the physical therapist of patient arrival. 5. Responsible for updating various Excel sheets. 6. Responsible for collecting copay, coinsurances and deductibles at time of visit. 7. Educate patients on insurance coverage and patient responsibilities. 8. Light cleaning - maintaining cleanliness of front desk and lobby throughout the day 9. Conduct self in accordance with Body In Balance Physical Therapy's employee manual. 10. Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations. 11. Participates in educational activities and attends staff meetings.
Skills/Experience:
1. Skilled in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner. 2. Knowledge of computer programs (Word, Excel, and Publisher). 3. Knowledge of business office procedures. 4. Knowledge of basic medical office procedures and practices. 5. Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment. 6. Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system. 7. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions. 8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public. 9. Reliable 10. Must be well organized, detail-oriented and able to perform multiple task simultaneously, with frequent interruptions .
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
