Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a bilingual Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring smooth clinic operations from patient intake to appointment scheduling. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential to serve our diverse patient community effectively. Duties Greet patients warmly in both English and Spanish, ensuring a positive first impression and seamless check-in process Verify insurance coverage, including insurance verification and eligibility checks using systems like Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft Schedule appointments accurately utilizing dental office management software and coordinate patient flow efficiently Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and appointment reminders Collect payments and perform medical collections while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review medical documentation, including care plans and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness Assist with medical billing processes such as CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and documentation review to support accurate claims submission Maintain organized filing systems for dental records and ensure compliance with health information management standards Support office operations by handling clerical tasks such as data entry, typing reports, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Skills Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and Medicare procedures Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft), EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth), and specialized tools like Meditech or eClinicalWorks Experience with insurance verification processes and medical billing practices within a dental or medical office setting Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with office management tasks such as filing, intake procedures, appointment scheduling, and phone etiquette Join us to make a meaningful difference in our patients' lives by providing outstanding administrative support in a lively dental practice!
