Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Biller/Receptionist, where your expertise will drive efficient billing processes and exceptional patient interactions. Responsibilities Perform accurate medical coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes to ensure proper billing and reimbursement. Review and process medical records, ensuring all documentation aligns with billing requirements and coding standards. Submit claims electronically through EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, following payer guidelines. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by conducting effective medical collections to maximize revenue recovery. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information. Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations while providing excellent customer service at the front desk. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify billing details, resolve discrepancies, and improve overall billing accuracy. Requirements Proven experience in medical office administration, including medical billing and reception duties. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and insurance procedures. Familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9 and ICD-10), and medical collection processes. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for data entry, claims submission, and record keeping. Ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately for coding purposes. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, providers, insurance companies, and team members. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
