Liaison to patients; assist with paperwork; maintain accurate patient files and databases; schedule and confirm appointments. Coordinate and schedule surgeries, procedures, and follow-up appointments per physician instructions and policies. Provide preoperative information and advise patients on surgical and financial requirements. Communicate with patients, physicians, clinic staff, ambulatory surgical centers, and outside facilities. Coordinate processes and timing to meet physician and facility requirements. Obtain surgery authorizations from insurance companies. Submit clinical and financial information to facilities, ensuring proper medical records release. Answer and screen phone calls courteously; record messages. Collect patient pre-payments as directed. Inform patients of unpaid balances before procedures. Review financial and clinical paperwork for completeness before scheduled procedures. Maintain confidential patient files and records. Follow up with prospective, current, and past patients. Ensure a positive patient experience in-office and over the phone. Perform other related duties as assigned.Performance Requirements:

Medical practice protocols for scheduling and patient demographics EMR systems Medical terminology Insurance practices, CPT, and ICD-10 coding Grammar, spelling, and punctuation for documentation Customer service principles and techniques Skills /Abilities:
Self-starter with minimal supervision Effective communication with patients and providers Multitasking in a fast-paced environment Analytical and responsive decision-making Use of multi-line phone systems Clear and concise verbal communication Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills Professional and positive demeanor Basic computer skills Teamwork and flexibility Confidence in presenting pricing and financing Urology experience (preferred) Surgical scheduling experience (required) Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)Experience:
1 year of surgical scheduling (Required) 2-3 years of medical office experience (Required) Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume office (Preferred)Education:
