Medical Receptionist The Foot Podiatry Mesa, AZ Job Details Full-time From $16 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Computer literacy Medical office experience Administrative experience Medical administrative support Medical billing Clerical experience Full Job Description Overview Fast growing Podiatry office in Mesa, AZ looking to hire a front-desk receptionist that can cross-train in multiple tasks to assist with day-to-day operations of running our practice. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor Schedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling software such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to facilitate smooth billing processes Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including intake documentation review and updating medical records Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls appropriately, and assist with appointment rescheduling Maintain accurate medical records by filing, organizing, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) such as DrChrono Support medical administrative tasks including billing, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with clinic operations by managing office supplies, coordinating care plans, and supporting front desk activities in a busy medical or dental office environment Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and handle Medicare or other insurance claims processes Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus Strong computer skills including proficiency in typing Experience working with multi-line phone systems, filing systems, and health information management standards Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced clinic setting while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring patient confidentiality and data security Previous clinic experience is preferred
