Job Description
Specialty practice seeking a medical/dental front office candidate who is outgoing, highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and has good communication and administrative skills. Individual must be reliable and committed to patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
greeting and checking in/out patients and collecting copays handling calls, faxes, messaging, and emails patient scheduling and appointment reminder calls insurance verification, prior authorization, and referral handling coordination with back office, billing, and administration document management, record request handling, and data entry treatment coordination
Qualifications and Requirements:
background, education, and/or experience working in a similar capacity in the healthcare industry, including positions as a receptionist, scheduler, administrative assistant, treatment coordinator, insurance specialist, billing specialist, dental assistant, or medical assistant knowledge of basic office equipment including printer, copier, scanner, phone, fax, and computer background and experience with computers/typing and using various software suites including Microsoft, Google, and EHR/PM applications positive and professional attitude and excellent written/verbal communication and customer service skills strong organizational, task, and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and follow through to completion ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with others bilingual a plus
