Appointment Scheduler Saguaro Dermatology Phoenix, AZ Job Details Full-time $18.50 - $21.00 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description As an Appointment Scheduler in our dermatology office, your primary responsibility will be to schedule appointments efficiently and accurately for patients seeking dermatological care. You will work closely with providers, staff, and patients to ensure smooth scheduling operations and exceptional patient service.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday (on-site)
What You'll Do:
Answer incoming calls in office or from remote location Schedule appointments for patients, including initial consultations, follow-up visits, and procedures, using the office's scheduling software Confirm appointments and insurance with patients, providing necessary instructions and information. Handle rescheduling or cancellations, accommodating patient needs while managing the office's scheduling requirements Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and general questions about appointments, procedures, and office policies Ensure patients receive necessary pre-appointment instructions, such as preparation guidelines for specific procedures or tests Maintain effective communication channels with patients to keep them informed of any changes in appointments, delays, or other relevant information Accurately enter patient information, appointment details, and relevant notes into the office's electronic medical records (EZDerm) system Update patient files with any changes in demographics, insurance information, or medical history Maintain confidentiality and follow privacy regulations when handling patient records and sensitive information Collaborate with dermatologists and other medical staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient flow
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a healthcare or similar setting is required Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with dermatology procedures is desirable Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously In support of our mission statement, "Healthier Practices, Healthier Patients," we have a Tobacco Free Environment.
