Primary Responsibilities /
Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:
Answer incoming calls to respond to inquiries made by patients, vendors, and insurance companies. Responds to client voicemails. Schedule patient appointments via telephone. Obtain complete and accurate medical history, including medications. Enter all patient data into electronic medical record Screen and route patient calls to other clinic employees Ensure accurate registration, appointment scheduling and follow-up appointment scheduling in database. Obtain patient demographic and verifying insurance information Scan pertinent patient information into EMR including patient authorizations, recent labs delivered by patient, etc. Obtain patient authorization for medical records release (HIPAA compliance). Communicate information related to
COVID-19
with quarantine isolation team Answer general questions related to
COVID 19
Other duties as assigned. Equipment Used and Responsibility Basic interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to apply knowledge of office procedures and carry out tasks accordingly. Ability to utilize the EMR system effectively. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail. Must be flexible, organized, and function well under pressure. MS Office Suite proficiency. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Experience/ Education Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1 - 2 years of experience in customer service. Previous experience in a medical practice desired. Experience with Microsoft Programs preferred. Must successfully pass a background check. #INDLOPESUP
