Medical Receptionist Arizona Foot & Ankle Physicians Scottsdale, AZ Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) $19.00•22.00 per hour Monday-Friday | No Nights | No Weekends A Practice Where Patients Feel Known Arizona Foot & Ankle Physicians is a husband-and-wife-owned podiatry practice in Scottsdale. Many of our patients have been with us for years—they know us by name, and we know theirs. That's not an accident; it's the standard we hold ourselves to every day. We're also a team that enjoys showing up for each other. We celebrate holidays and seasons, decorate the office throughout the year, and have Benny, our friendly office pup, who joins us most days. We're looking for a Medical Receptionist who loves working with people, takes pride in creating a welcoming experience, and wants to build a long-term career with our practice—not just fill a seat. Learn more about us at www.azfootclinic.com What You'll Do Patient Experience Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism Create a welcoming atmosphere from the first hello to the last goodbye Check patients out and collect payments Provide exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone Scheduling Manage and optimize appointment flow throughout the day Coordinate and maintain provider schedules Handle scheduling, rescheduling, and patient follow-up calls Insurance & Billing Verify insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments Obtain authorizations as needed Communicate patient financial responsibilities clearly Assist with claims-related administrative tasks Records & Administration Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Scan, upload, and process documents Complete patient registration and intake procedures Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times Communication Answer incoming phone calls and patient email inquiries Coordinate with referring providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies Handle prior authorizations and other administrative coordination QualificationsRequired Medical office experience required (podiatry or orthopedic experience preferred) Experience with EHR systems (Practice Fusion experience is a plus) Knowledge of insurance verification, authorizations, and claims processing Professional phone etiquette and strong customer service skills Experience using Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Ability to learn new software quickly The Qualities That Matter Just As Much Warm, genuine, and comfortable working with people Works well independently and as part of a small team Positive attitude and dependable work ethic Willing to jump in and help wherever needed Looking for a long-term opportunity, not just a stepping stone Comfortable around dogs (Benny is an important member of our team) Schedule No evenings.
