Medical Receptionist / Patient Services Coordinator Scottsdale, AZ 85254
Pay:
$19.00•$21.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday•Friday | 8:00 AM•5:00 PM We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Medical Receptionist / Patient Services Coordinator to join a busy healthcare office in Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting, strong administrative skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities Patient Intake & Reception:
Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner Complete patient check-in procedures and verify demographic information Obtain required signatures and ensure all documentation is completed accurately
Scheduling & Coordination:
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Coordinate procedures, specialist referrals, and follow-up visits Maintain appointment calendars and communicate schedule updates
Insurance & Billing Support:
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage Explain payment options and collect co-pays, deductibles, and other payments Assist with basic billing inquiries and documentation
Communication & Administrative Support:
Answer incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries professionally Route messages to appropriate departments Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
Records Management:
Update and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Scan, file, and organize patient documents Ensure accuracy of patient information and medical records
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical receptionist, medical office, or healthcare administrative role preferred Experience with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of insurance verification and patient scheduling processes Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications BBE1080 How to
