Patients choose Pima Pain Center because of our experienced healthcare team and minimally invasive approach to pain management—resulting in cost-effective treatments with less trauma and pain, and a faster recovery time. As the first and last point of contact, the Receptionist team greets patients and visitors at the front desk in a warm, friendly and professional manner. Maintains HIPAA compliance while obtaining necessary information for billing purposes. Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Follows proper procedure to check patient in for the days services Obtains and scans patient ID, health insurance card, and updating any and all documents according to policy and procedure. Ensures intake information has been completed by patient prior to scanning into their electronic medical record. Reads "Alert Notes" or 'Alert Flags" in the patient chart Maintains proper money handling processes. Collects patient payments and provides receipts. Prepares and balances daily copay log. Provides appropriate financial information to patients as directed by policy and situation Follows proper procedure to check patient out from the days services Patient check out, scheduling follow up appointments for office visits, treatments and procedures according to guidelines utilizing EHR system to task and complete Logs at the end of each day. Scanning of all patient related forms into patient chart and appropriate departments Provides communication to patients, vendors and visitors within HIPAA compliance to maintain proper flow. Maintains organization of the front desk area and lobby throughout the day. Handles interoffice telephone calls and inquires taking complete messages and forwarding calls appropriately Assists clinic staff with clerical duties, wheelchair patients from procedure rooms to vehicle as needed and other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalence Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
