Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and serious-minded Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring smooth office operations. This paid position is ideal for candidates with strong administrative skills, dental office experience, and a commitment to excellence in healthcare support. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, establishing a positive first impression Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette and clear communication Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software such as open dental Verify insurance coverage. Maintain accurate medical records, update patient information, and review documentation for completeness Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and explaining treatment plans Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive health information appropriately Skills Proven experience in dental office or medical administrative support with strong front desk capabilities Knowledge of dental terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and insurance verification processes Ability to navigate multiple computer programs efficiently including Microsoft Office suite and health information management systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing procedures Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical billing practices to ensure accuracy and confidentiality Join us in providing outstanding dental care by supporting our team with your administrative expertise!
