We are a newer practice in El Segundo CA. In this energetic role, you will be the welcoming face of our clinic, guiding patients through their treatment plans, managing appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring every patient experience is positive and efficient. Your expertise will help foster a friendly environment while supporting the clinical team with administrative excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a vibrant Periodontal and Implant practice setting dedicated to quality patient care and compassion with trmedous room to grow to a full-time position if desired! All needed In Office systems training will be provided! Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process before their procedures Coordinate patient scheduling using dental practice management software (we use Open Dental) optimizing appointment flow Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth to facilitate accurate billing and treatment planning Explain treatment options clearly, review care plans, and obtain patient consent with confidence and professionalism Manage dental billing processes including CDT coding and Insurance claims to ensure accurate reimbursement and ability to generate and provide requested information to insurances. Review patient dental records for completeness and accuracy, maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and courteously Maintain organized filing of medical records, dental records, and administrative documents both digitally and physically Support the clinical team by coordinating intake procedures, insurance verification, and documentation review to streamline patient care Handling referral relationships by office visits to drop off marketing materials and develop new relationships with office staff and doctor referrals. Help setting up lunches with referrals via email and phone communication with staff. Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and dental billing practices is a plus Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Open Dental Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical coding (CPT, ICD) for accurate documentation and billing Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence in a fast-paced environment Office management experience including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, dental administrative support, and front desk operations Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (10 key typing), and maintaining detailed records efficiently Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding patient care while supporting our team with your administrative expertise.
