Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and organized Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and their nephrologist, ensuring smooth communication and efficient administrative operations within the medical practice. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment while managing a variety of clerical tasks that keep the clinic running seamlessly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through exceptional care team support. Duties Greet patients and their support visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-out and support process Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patients appointments using Greenway Intergy Manage incoming calls, answer inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate careteam members or other departments Prepare and organize patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times Assist with referral processes, insurance verifications, and all other needs to support patient Maintain office supplies, equipment, and ensure the cleanliness of the front desk area Support nephrologist with tasks and support as needed Requirements Proven experience working in a busy medical office environment or similar setting Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical information Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting Proficiency in medical administrative support tools such as Greenway Intergy (EHR) systems and scheduling software Prior experience in a dental or healthcare office is highly desirable Exceptional communication skills to interact professionally with patients, staff, and external partners Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to healthcare privacy regulations
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
