Medical Provider / Clinical Supervisor Job Summary The TMS Technician is responsible for administering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments to patients under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. This role is essential in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate care to individuals receiving treatment for depression and other mental health conditions. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a structured clinical environment. This position involves direct patient interaction, equipment setup and monitoring, adherence to treatment protocols, and ongoing documentation. Key Responsibilities Administer TMS treatments according to prescribed protocols Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and provide ongoing reassurance and support Position and operate TMS equipment accurately and safely Monitor patients during sessions for comfort, side effects, or adverse reactions and report concerns promptly Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Perform daily equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and routine maintenance Adhere to all clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection control standards Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment Participate in training, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives Administrative Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, including initial consults, mapping sessions, and daily treatment visits Track patient attendance, treatment progress, and completion status to ensure protocol adherence Conduct outbound calls to patients for: Scheduling and rescheduling appointments New patient consult coordination Gathering required intake information and documentation Communicate effectively with billing and administrative teams regarding: Treatment start dates Attendance tracking Missed appointments or schedule changes Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient data into scheduling systems and EMR Manage time-sensitive tasks with a high level of organization and attention to detail Utilize computer systems frequently throughout the day for scheduling, documentation, and communication Maintain clear, professional communication with patients, providers, and internal staff
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols and instructions Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic health records Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Preferred:
Prior experience in a medical, behavioral health, or patient-care setting Certification or training as a TMS Technician Background as a Medical Assistant, Psychiatric Technician, EEG Tech, CNA, or similar role Experience working in mental health, psychiatry, or neurology settings Bilingual (Spanish a plus) Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday Ability to position and adjust TMS equipment and patient seating Frequent use of hands for fine motor tasks and equipment operation Ability to lift or move equipment or supplies up to 25 pounds Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to monitor patients and equipment Ability to respond quickly to patient needs or clinical changes Work Environment Outpatient clinical/medical office setting Direct patient contact on a daily basis Exposure to typical medical office equipment and devices
