Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. In this pivotal role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient experiences. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help coordinate appointments, manage patient records, and facilitate effective communication between patients and clinical staff. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and facilitate check-in procedures with professionalism and enthusiasm Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing efficiently Collect payments, process medical collections, and manage billing tasks with accuracy using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review documentation for accuracy, ensure proper coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and dental terminology for billing purposes Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette while providing outstanding customer service to patients and providers Support clinical staff by managing medical records requests, filing documents, and assisting with clinic administrative tasks Experience Prior experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is highly preferred; clinic experience is a strong plus Proven proficiency in medical billing, medical coding (ICD and CPT), insurance verification, and health information management Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills including 10-key typing for data entry tasks Knowledge of health insurance policies including Medicare and HIPAA compliance standards Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining professionalism at all times Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse patient populations effectively Office management or clerical experience that demonstrates organizational skills in a fast-paced environment Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional dental care through outstanding administrative support.
