Responsibilities First Impressions:
Warmly greet children and parents, creating a fun, high-energy, and stress-free check-in experience.
Scheduling:
Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the unique flow and pacing of a pediatric daily schedule.
Parent Communication:
Answer phone calls, reply to emails, and clearly explain next steps or appointment policies to parents.
Check-In & Check-Out:
Verify insurance eligibility, collect copays, and update electronic patient charts accurately.
Office Vibe:
Keep the reception area tidy, organized, and kid-friendly (monitoring the prize box, toys, and iPad stations).
Team Collaboration:
Communicate closely with pediatric dental assistants and doctors to ensure smooth daily transitions.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1+ years of medical/dental front desk experience OR strong customer service experience working with children/families (daycare, teaching, hospitality).
Personality:
Exceptionally patient, enthusiastic, and genuinely fond of working with children.
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable learning electronic health record software (experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental is a huge plus).
Multi-Tasking:
Ability to handle a busy phone line while keeping a smile on your face and managing in-office traffic.
Reliability:
Punctual and dependable, ensuring the front desk is always open and ready for morning appointments.
