This Patient Counselor is primarily responsible for educating Opthalmology patients and selling company services. This position will work with the patient from the time the patient enters the center and conduct follow up calls to ensure patients have an amazing experience.
Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Obtain surgical authorizations in an efficient and timely manner. Provide patients with generic preoperative information. Provides patients with accurate information pertaining to their procedure Answers all surgery related incoming calls. Serve as a liaison between patient and medical staff. Schedules appointments for surgery for all physicians at the clinic in accordance Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes. Obtains and enters all surgical authorizations and correspondence relating to referrals in all related programs. Prepares surgical charts and verifies that all surgery forms, consents and documentation have been signed and filed in chart. Maintains office surgery scheduling program containing all pertinent surgery information. Arranges for patients to have financial counseling as needed. Must check patients in surgery schedule for the physician. Maintains the privacy of all patient protected health information and complies with HIPAA. Maintains surgeon's surgery schedule. #
NvisionHP Qualifications:
2+ years experience in patient counseling and/or sales, preferably in an Opthalmology or surgical practice Experience with Opthalmology/Optometric testing modalities, preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to deliver an exceptional patient experience

USD $20.00/Hr.
Max:
USD $25.00/Yr.
