Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and care Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims using systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Athenahealth Schedule appointments accurately utilizing dental scheduling software and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily workflow Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently while providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries Process payments, perform medical collection activities, and handle billing tasks using medical billing software like eClinicalWorks or similar EMR systems Assist with intake procedures, update patient information, and support office management tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations Skills Extensive experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or similar platforms including Dentrix or Eaglesoft for dental practices Strong knowledge of dental terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical billing procedures including Medicare compliance Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills such as 10-key typing for efficient data entry Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior clinic or dental office experience demonstrating familiarity with front desk operations and office management workflows Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and proper handling of protected health information (PHI) Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and medical records management Ability to adapt quickly to new software platforms like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks while maintaining high levels of accuracy Join our dedicated team where your skills will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives!
