Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Desk/Call Center Specialist to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, managing phone inquiries, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and supporting medical administrative functions. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will ensure a smooth patient experience and efficient office operations. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service at the front desk and over multi-line phone systems Answer incoming calls promptly, directing inquiries accurately and professionally Schedule patient appointments. Verify insurance coverage, including Medicare and private insurers, ensuring accurate billing information Manage patient intake processes, including collecting demographic data and updating medical records. Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and office documentation, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility Support medical office management tasks such as appointment reminders, follow-up calls, and billing support. Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office or clinic environment. Proficiency with EMR systems and insurance platforms. Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing tasks Computer literacy Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude Join our team to be part of a vibrant practice that values your contribution! Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
