Job Description

Front Office Medical Receptionist We are seeking a bilingual Front Office Medical Receptionist to join our nonprofit medical clinic in Palm Springs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks efficiently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as this position requires daily interaction with physicians, patients, volunteers, and staff. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service in a healthcare setting. Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) required 1-2 years of prior experience as a Medical Receptionist required Medical Assistant certification preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Strong computer and data entry skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Willingness to assist coworkers and support clinic operations as needed Ability to follow established office policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor Responsibilities Greet patients upon arrival and provide appropriate information and assistance Answer incoming telephone calls, schedule appointments, and confirm upcoming visits Educate patients about available clinic services and programs Obtain and verify patient information and prepare medical charts for appointments Retrieve and organize patient records for provider review Maintain accurate filing systems and patient records Review patient demographic forms for completeness and accuracy prior to check-out Ensure the reception area remains organized, welcoming, and professional Assist with patient registration, check-in, and check-out processes Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Provide administrative support to physicians and clinic staff as needed Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the clinic Benefits This is a part-time position with the potential to become full-time. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days of employment, as well as eligibility for a 401(k) retirement plan after one year of employment.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
