in hiring is given to Greenville Rancheria Tribal Members, and qualified American Indians in accordance with the Indian Preference Act, Title 25, and U.S. Code Sections 472 & 473.

The mission at the Greenville Rancheria is to provide high quality direct care to Native Americans, their families, and all community members. The mission of the Greenville Rancheria is to continue as a functional viable Tribal government in perpetuity, providing services to its membership and their families through the creation of wealth and personal growth by maximizing Tribal assets, both material and human.
POSITION
Community Resource Center Receptionist
POSITIION SUMMARY
This position is under the supervision of the Community Resource Center Director. The person in this position will be responsible for performing professional office work. Must be able to disseminate office information professionally, accurately, and with good judgment in handling matters of a confidential nature.
POSITION OUTLINE
General qualifications: An eligible candidate must possess (and/or maintain) the following
Minimum Requirements:
Be Eighteen (18) years of age or older. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to pass a Pre-Employment drug screen and criminal background check / fingerprinting in accordance with all applicable laws regarding the nature of the employment. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to use office equipment, including fax, multi-line telephone and copy machine. Maintain a "Professional Image" in your appearance and hygiene. Requires current certification, or ability to obtain certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first aid. Requires discretion, confidentiality, resourcefulness, and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature. An awareness and sensitivity of Native American traditions, customs and socioeconomic needs, beliefs and religious practices and an ability to work with varied cultures which require tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness, and good judgment in handling functions related to the position. Have experience in dealing with the underserved community.
Physical requirements:
an eligible candidate must possess the ability to: Sit for extended periods of time. Be able to sustain prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and light lifting without pain. Display manual dexterity as applicable to position. Pass all medical / employment physical examinations. General Duties and Responsibilities. Maintain good attendance and be punctual. Be organized in all work activities, while meeting deadlines. Read, interpret, and adhere to personnel policy and procedures. Familiarization with computer systems, i.e. spreadsheet, Internet, and word-processing applications and any other software that apply to this position. Agree to and sign a Conflict-of-Interest form, agree to not disclose any trade secrets, directly or indirectly, or use them in any way, either during the term of my employment or at any time thereafter, except as required in the course of my employment with the company. Maintain a high-level of patient confidentiality at all times with the Tribal Members and Community Members. Agree to sign a Confidentiality Form Ensures compliance with legal issues including, but not limited to, patient, Tribal Members and Community Members confidentiality, risk management, ensures compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Health Information Technology and Economic Clinic Health (HITECH) guidelines.
DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES
The following Position Responsibilities are rated as part of the employee's competency-based performance appraisal. Within the parameters established by the Tribal Council, the Community Resource Center Director and approved Greenville Rancheria personnel policies and procedures, the Social Services Receptionist is assigned the following position responsibilities:
Direct Program Duties:
Answers telephones, take messages and routes calls to the appropriate staff member or department. Knowledge of Community Resource Center Programs and provide clients with the Housing Program Intake Screening and Referral form and distributes to appropriate staff. Open, sorts, distributes, incoming mail, and faxes to the appropriate employee or department. Keeps the areas in a clean and organized manner at all times. Greets walk-ins professionally, pleasantly and with respect. Direct them. Take messages and provide information or documents for them as needed. Obtain information, follow up on requests as directed by the Community Resource Center Director and the appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned.
Customer Service:
Professionally and in a customer-focused manner, disseminate program and grant information as appropriate and as instructed by the Social Services Director. Is able to understand, be sensitive to, communicate with, and have knowledge/awareness of the culture of the native and underserved community to be served. Provide input, initiate, and embrace changes that will continually improve the operation of the Greenville Rancheria and assist the Community Resource Center Director and the Community Resource Center Department in efficiency, and prosperity. Maintain a high level of confidentiality. Greenville Rancheria is an "at will" Employer.

From $19.00 per hour
