Job Description
We are seeking a bilingual Medical Receptionist who is fluent in English and either Spanish or Russian to support a busy front desk in a high-volume outpatient clinic. This role is ideal for someone customer-focused, reliable, and enthusiastic about working flexible hours, including overtime when needed. This is a front-facing, fast-paced position where professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner Schedule appointments in person and via phone with patients and external offices Answer high-volume inbound calls and assist with scheduling requests Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations Process referrals and support billing follow-up tasks Collaborate closely with front desk teammates to ensure smooth daily operations
Required Qualifications Bilingual:
Fluent in English and either Spanish or Russian Strong customer service or customer support experience Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Willingness and enthusiasm for overtime and flexible scheduling Reliable attendance and punctuality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications No prior healthcare experience required Candidates without previous healthcare experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as full training will be provided Experience working in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, call centers, or office reception Work Environment Small, close-knit office setting similar in size to a family practice or urgent care Front desk team of 3-4 staff seated in an open area facing the walk-in lobby Same-day patient appointments are common, so shift end times may vary If you are the closing shift, staying late to complete patient care is expected and appreciated Culture & Employee Value Proposition Family-owned organization with a strong emphasis on teamwork and culture Supportive and flexible team environment Team members work collaboratively to cover schedules when time off is needed due to illness or appointments A workplace where coworkers genuinely enjoy working together Attendance Expectations Consistent attendance is critical Five absences within a 90-day period may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination Why This Role Is Open Continued growth and the need to better serve a bilingual patient population Ideal Candidate You are someone who: Enjoys working with people and providing excellent service Thrives in a busy environment Is dependable and team-oriented Is motivated by the opportunity to work extra hours and earn additional income Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
