Job Description
Stonebrook Dental is a modern, state-of-the-art dental practice specializing in general dentistry, including implants, Invisalign, sedation dentistry and cosmetic procedures. Our focus is on delivering high-quality dental care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional patient service, managing administrative tasks efficiently, and supporting the smooth operation of our dental practice. This role offers an opportunity to be the friendly face of our office while ensuring optimal office functionality. Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression. Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks utilizing systems like Athenahealth or Meditech. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments and updating medical records. Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to address patient inquiries promptly. Maintain organized dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Assist with billing procedures, including medical collections and coding using CDT Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and documentation review to uphold office efficiency. Prior experience as a dental receptionist with strong knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix. Proficiency in dental billing, coding (CDT), insurance verification, and documentation review. Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA compliance. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and clinic management software. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and scheduling. Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable to ensure seamless integration into our team.
