Job Description

Job description: We are seeking a Medical Receptionist/Surgery Scheduler to join our surgery center team! You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely scheduling of surgery appointments. You will also assist in coordinating medical care for our patients and work as part of a team to ensure that all patients receive quality care. Other duties include meeting and greeting patients and their families, insurance verification, data entry, collecting payments, etc. May also assist in the billing office. Candidates need to be able to work independently and adhere to regulatory compliance rules.
SHIFT:
6 am - 2:30 pm, Mon - Fri. Qualifications We are looking for a candidate who meets the following requirements: High School diploma required; Associate Degree preferred and/or 2+ years of medical office experience preferred. Billing experience is a plus. Working knowledge of medical terminology, an understanding of medical insurance regulations, and a complete understanding of HIPAA privacy rules. Experience with analyzing explanation of benefits (EOBs) from various insurance companies/payers is a plus! Knowledge of insurances. Must have strong problem solving, attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook). Candidates must be detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize workloads accordingly. Demonstrates a commitment to organizational values by displaying a professional attitude and appropriate conduct in all situations. Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills within a diverse population.
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
