Medical Receptionist / Patient Services Coordinator ~~Join a Growing Pediatric Therapy Team~~ Joy & Laughter Developmental Therapy is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Medical Receptionist / Patient Services Coordinator to support our front desk operations and help create an exceptional experience for the children and families we serve. This position is ideal for someone with experience in medical reception, front desk operations, healthcare administration, patient services, customer service, or other client-facing roles.
Position Summary Setting:
Pediatric Therapy Clinic Compensation:
$21•25 per hour based on experience. Monthly performance bonuses are available for team members who consistently meet scheduling, customer service, and administrative performance goals.

Children and adolescents receiving speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy services.•Benefits 401(k) w/ matching Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off Flexible Schedule Professional Development Assistance Opportunities for Advancement What You'll Do As a Medical Receptionist / Patient Services Coordinator, you will: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact at the front desk Schedule evaluations, therapy appointments, and make-up visits Complete patient intake and registration processes Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations Collect co-pays, balances, and payments Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Coordinate communication between families, therapists, and administrative staff Help resolve scheduling and customer service concerns Support clinic goals by meeting scheduling, customer service, and administrative performance expectations Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes that support patient care A Typical Day May Include Greeting children and families at the front desk Answering incoming phone calls Responding to emails and patient inquiries Scheduling and rescheduling appointments Completing patient registration and intake paperwork Verifying insurance benefits and authorizations Collecting payments and processing transactions Following up with families regarding appointments and documentation Tracking scheduling and customer service performance metrics Collaborating with therapists to ensure smooth clinic operations What We're Looking For Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong technology and computer skills Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems independently Required Qualifications 1+ year of professional work experience in customer service, reception, administrative support, healthcare, hospitality, retail, or another client-facing role Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and work independently after training Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn and follow HIPAA and confidentiality requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience in a medical office, therapy clinic, dental office, hospital, or healthcare setting Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, authorizations, or medical reception Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or Vietnamese Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field You May Be a Great Fit If You...
