Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this essential role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, medical records, and administrative support seamlessly. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures with professionalism and enthusiasm Schedule appointments accurately using dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Meditech, Epic, or eClinicalWorks Maintain and update patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate treatment plans and ensure accurate documentation of patient visits Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling follow-ups, and managing correspondence Experience Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist in a office environment Familiarity with systems such as Dentrix, Dental Intelligence, and similar platforms Knowledge of dental terminology, dental billing procedures, HIPAA regulations Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly Previous experience with insurance verification processes and medical administrative support preferred Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy clinic setting while maintaining accuracy Join us in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for from their first visit!
