Job Description

Front Desk & Billing Trainee — Part-Time Growing wellness practice looking for a friendly, motivated, and enthusiastic front desk person to join our devoted team, part-time. We're looking for someone just as excited about growing with our practice as we are. Welcoming working environment and small friendly staff. This role starts as front desk and grows into medical billing over time•full training provided, no billing experience required to apply.
Applicants must have/be:
Professional, positive, and enthusiastic personality Fast learner, great at multitasking, ability to adapt and learn quickly Very comfortable navigating technology/computers Genuine willingness and eagerness to grow into new responsibilities•including learning medical billing•as part of this role
Position Responsibilities:
Answering phones and scheduling patients in a busy clinic schedule Opening/closing procedures (open/close register, daily reports, etc.) Growing into back-office billing tasks over time: insurance payment posting, claims submission, and accounts receivable follow-up, with hands-on training provided
Required Skills:
Excellent customer service and telephone/in-person etiquette Organization and prioritization ability Proven problem-solving skills and clear communication Detail-oriented Multi-tasking ability Clear, professional written and verbal communication Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Willing to learn AI tools•including ChatGPT and Claude•to streamline workflows Comfortable learning new software programs, using and adjusting quickly Basic office machinery operation Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
Front desk operation in a healthcare setting Customer service experience Familiarity with EMR, scheduling software, or clearinghouse platforms (e.g., Office Ally, Availity) Any exposure to medical billing, insurance claims, or EOB/ERA processing is a strong plus•but not required; we'll train
Set Hours:
Part-time, 16-20 hours/week to start, growing to 24-28 hours/week as billing responsibilities increase.
Required days:
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Wednesday:
Billing-focused (EOB entry, payment posting, claims follow-up). Wednesday hours will grow over time as billing responsibilities increase — starting primarily with EOB entry and payment posting, expanding into additional billing tasks as skills develop.
Thursday & Friday:
Front desk (fixed hours).
General office hours:
8:00 AM-12:00 PM, 2:00 PM-6:00
PM Compensation:
$22-26/hour and up, D.O.E. Interested and eligible applicants must email only•no phone calls accepted.
