Overview Join a dynamic dental practice as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming demeanor will set the tone for an exceptional patient experience. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, insurance verifications, and medical records with precision and professionalism. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help streamline daily operations and foster a positive environment for both patients and staff. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional front desk experience Schedule appointments efficiently using dental office management software such as Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy, including updating medical records and documentation review Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly Maintain organized dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up to optimize revenue cycle management Support clinical staff by coordinating patient intake, preparing treatment plans, and managing office supplies Experience Proven experience in a dental office setting or healthcare environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms Demonstrated ability to handle medical billing, collections, and insurance verification efficiently Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and health information management standards Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Excellent clerical skills including typing (10 key), filing, data entry, and Microsoft Office proficiency Previous front desk or administrative support experience in a medical or dental clinic preferred Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a caring healthcare team while developing their career in medical administrative support.
