Medical Front Office Instructor SoCal ROC•3.0 Torrance, CA Job Details Part-time $37.04•$45.02 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Medical scheduling Medical administrative support Student support Adaptability Computer skills Adult education Full Job Description The Medical Front Office Instructor is responsible for teaching, mentoring, and preparing high school and adult students for entry-level employment in medical administrative and front office roles. This position focuses on delivering practical, industry-aligned instruction in medical office operations, patient access, scheduling, insurance processes, professionalism, and healthcare compliance. The ideal candidate brings real-world medical office experience, a passion for education, and the ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners with varying academic and professional backgrounds. Key Responsibilities Teach medical front office competencies: patient intake, scheduling, EHR basics, insurance verification, HIPAA, and medical terminology Deliver standards-based instruction using career-ready practices, simulations, and real-world scenarios Adapt instruction for diverse learners and mixed-age classrooms Assess student progress and support workforce entry, certifications, or externships Maintain attendance, grades, and compliance documentation Qualifications Required 5+ years of medical front office or healthcare administrative experience Strong communication and computer/EHR skills Preferred Teaching or training experience (CTE or adult education) Knowledge of California CTE standards Credential or willingness to obtain appropriate CTE in the appropriate subject matter How to
