Medical Receptionist - Primary Care

Our organization is currently seeking an energetic Medical Receptionist Our Medical Receptionist provides exceptional service to our patients. Medical Receptionists ensure that patient needs and visit expectations are met at check-in and check-out.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greets all patients and visitors to ensure a friendly, welcoming and professional clinic atmosphere
• Checks in and registers patients in a timely manner, confirming/entering demographics and verifying patient insurance information
• Explains financial requirements, collects co-pays and outstanding balances
• Schedules patient appointments, canceling and or rescheduling if necessary due to physicians schedules
• Coordinates with clinic staff to ensure a positive patient flow and waiting room experience
• Responds timely to patient inquiries and completes assigned tasks accurately and expeditiously
• Answers telephones, forwards telephone messages, manages faxes, copying, and scanning as needed
• Provides backup support to the other office departments as necessary

Requirements:

• One year of front office experience in a business office.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
