The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for providing excellent patient service. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records while ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in medical office management and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be essential to maintaining an efficient and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities / Skills
Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression at the front desk. Schedule appointments accurately using EHR. Knowledge of insurances. Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review and update medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation. Handle phone inquiries using multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills. Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized office files. Collaborate with clinical staff on daily tasks. Maintain knowledge of clinic procedures, medical terminology, and relevant office management practices to support daily operations. Bilingual in Spanish required to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and typing proficiency (including 10-key typing). Knowledge of medical administrative support functions such as appointment scheduling, filing, and office management practices.
