Job Description

We are a Cosmetic Dental Practice in Walnut Creek seeking to add a Patient Care Coordinator who values being in a positive work environment with friendly team members! The ideal candidate meets the following requirements: Schedule appointments according to the perfect day scheduling protocol (needs to use quick thinking skills to methodically place patients on the schedule). Greet all arriving patients with a smile & Inform the appropriate department of their arrival Register new patients according to established office protocols Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation Verify and update patient information Inform patients of dental office procedures and policy Enter all patient information into Open Dental accurately Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations Answer and manage incoming calls Respond and comply to requests for information Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol Check daily appointment schedule and meet scheduling goals Audit patient charts for next day appointments and verify insurance coverage, expected co-pay Fill in cancellations and no-shows Contact & attempt to schedule 15 patients a day from the re-care list Communicate with referral offices and assist patients with coordination of treatment for interdisciplinary treatment. Collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment Inform patients of financial treatment plan options and create accurate treatment estimates Arrange payment schedule with patients Prepare claim forms for dental insurance Update patient education materials Maintain a professional reception area Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality Excellence with delivering high level Customer Service both in person and on the phone.
