In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking medical care, providing comprehensive health assessments, preventive services, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions. Your expertise will help promote health, prevent illness, and improve patient outcomes through personalized care and evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encompass preventive care, health education, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with specialists for referrals or additional testing such as medical imaging or laboratory services when necessary. Provide patient education on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and disease prevention strategies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and adherence to healthcare regulations including HIPAA standards. Engage in team-based care delivery by collaborating with nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient service. Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine. Proven experience in primary care settings with strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient management. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and pathology relevant to general medicine. Ability to perform basic procedures including suturing, vital signs measurement, and patient assessment techniques. Experience with inpatient and outpatient care environments is preferred; hospital or clinic experience is highly valued. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering compassionate patient-centered care across diverse populations.
