  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our rapidly growing retina-only ophthalmic practice, stationed mainly at our Highlands Ranch office.
In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a wide range of administrative duties. Your energetic and positive approach will help ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and efficient appointment scheduling. Travel between offices may be required per business need. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression and providing excellent patient service. Schedule appointments using AdvancedMD Practice Management system and Nextech Electronic Health Record Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks using insurance portals and phone verification. Collect and process patient payments. Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards. Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries efficiently. Manage front desk operations such as filing, faxing, handling medical records requests. Support surgical scheduling tasks. Experience Previous clinic or medical office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with ophthalmic clinics is a plus. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems (AdvancedMD and Nextech) preferred. Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Demonstrated customer service excellence in fast-paced healthcare environments. Competency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software. Experience working with multi-line phone systems and electronic scheduling tools
