Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this essential role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, medical records, and administrative support seamlessly. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in and check-out processes Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing accurate information and scheduling appointments Verify insurance coverage using systems like Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft; handle insurance claims and follow-up Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Assist with billing procedures including medical collection processes and coding using
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10
codes Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining dental terminology knowledge Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a dental clinic or healthcare environment Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (ICD coding), insurance verification, and EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and health information management practices Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, 10 key typing, and electronic scheduling tools Ability to handle medical administrative support tasks such as intake processing, documentation review, and filing accurately Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Prior clinic or dental office experience preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and hospital experience is advantageous Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical records management and office operations Join us to make a positive impact on patients' lives while working in an energetic team environment!
