We have offices in Naugatuck, CT and Seymour, CT. We are looking for a full-time receptionist to work in our Naugatuck office. This position may require travel to our Seymour, CT office for coverage as needed. We provide compassionate, client-centered care through in-person and telehealth counseling services. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values professionalism, empathy, and strong customer service. Position Summary The Front Desk Receptionist is often the first point of contact for clients and plays an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience. This position includes front office administration, scheduling, phone communication, client support, and coordination with clinical staff. Medical or behavioral health office experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and professionally Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments Assist with intake paperwork and client forms Verify insurance information and maintain accurate records Manage clinician schedules and coordinate changes as needed Respond to emails, voicemails, and client messages promptly Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Perform general administrative and office support tasks Support a positive and organized office environment Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, and electronic records Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused High school diploma or equivalent required Medical, behavioral health, or administrative office experience preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a counseling, medical, or healthcare office Familiarity with insurance verification and scheduling systems Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems Benefits Supportive and collaborative work environment Health/Dental Insurance Options Opportunities for growth within a growing practice Paid time off and holiday benefits How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction outlining your experience and interest in joining Sycamore Counseling Services .
