Job Description
The Neurology Institute Full Time, Front Desk Receptionists Job Summary We are a growing, multi-site private medical practice seeking polished, high-energy Front Desk Receptionists. This role requires at least 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced medical office. The ideal candidates multi-tasks effortlessly, deliver exceptional patient care, and possess strong knowledge of insurance requirements/HMO referrals. Reliable transportation is required , as this position may require some rotation among our three Broward County clinic locations. Key Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in/check-out process efficiently. Complete and accurate data entry of patient information, including insurance. Verify receipt of referrals for HMO/Managed Care plans. Collect patient copays, deductibles, and outstanding past balances accurately. Schedule patient appointments across multiple provider schedules. Answer multi-line phones, triage calls, and take accurate messages. Scan, sort, and organize incoming medical records into the EMR system/eClinical Works. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front reception area.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of medical front desk experience required. (Those solely experienced in hospitals, imaging facilities, or laboratories do not satisfy the requirement of experience in a private medical office.)Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.Tech Skills:
Proficiency with document scanning and Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) software (eClinical Works).Knowledge:
Strong understanding of medical terminology, HMO/PPO insurances, and the referral and authorization requirements.Travel:
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to rotate between our 3 Broward County offices, as needed.Bilingual:
