Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative support. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills, familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, and a dedication to confidentiality and professionalism. Shift(s) available: Monday-Friday, 6:30a-2:30pm & Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out processes using EMR systems. Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling. Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism. Collect patient information, update medical records, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy. Handle billing procedures including medical collections. Support clinic operations by managing phone etiquette, data entry tasks and general clerical duties. Ensure adherence to privacy policies and HIPAA regulations during all interactions involving patient information. Experience Prior experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is required; clinic or dental office experience is preferred. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with health information management software. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective phone etiquette and communication abilities. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations.
