Medical Receptionist/insurance Billing Fort Lauderdale OMS Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Details Full-time $20 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Qualifications Healthcare claims management Insurance medical billing Medical billing Patient billing Healthcare reimbursement methods Full Job Description We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist / Insurance Biller to serve as the first point of contact for patients while managing billing and insurance processes. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, maintain accurate records, and ensure smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk /
Reception Duties:
Greet and check in patients professionally and courteously. Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar. Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls as necessary. Collect patient information, including personal details and medical history. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Handle patient correspondence, including emails and phone messages.
Insurance & Billing Duties:
Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations. Process insurance claims accurately and submit them in a timely manner. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies. Prepare and send patient statements and process payments. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve coverage or claim issues. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, coding, and billing procedures.
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
