Your primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of patients through the reception area while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting patients and visitors warmly as they arrive at the facility. Checking-in patients by collecting necessary personal and insurance information as well as collecting payments as needed. Scheduling appointments for patients, including coordinating with medical staff and maintaining appointment calendars. Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries or directing calls to appropriate personnel. Maintaining patient records accurately and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information. Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry. Communicating effectively with patients, medical staff, and other team members to ensure efficient operations. Managing the waiting area to ensure cleanliness and organization. Handling any issues or concerns raised by patients or visitors professionally and promptly. Any additional tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
ONE YEAR
minimum proven experience in a similar role
REQUIRED
in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in computer skills, including knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and MS Office suite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is beneficial but not required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules. Commitment to providing high-quality customer service to patients and visitors. This job description outlines the primary responsibilities and requirements for the role of a Medical Receptionist.
