Receptionist / Referral
Coordinator (Bilingual English/Spanish) We are seeking a bilingual Receptionist / Referral Coordinator (English/Spanish) to join our team. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors while also managing the referral process to ensure seamless coordination of patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Receptionist Duties Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls. Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment calendars. Verify insurance information and collect patient payments. Maintain patient records and update demographic information. Assist patients with forms and general inquiries. Perform front desk administrative duties and provide exceptional customer service. Referral Coordinator Duties Collect patient information and manage the referral process between healthcare providers. Coordinate referrals and schedule specialty appointments for patients. Communicate with patients, physicians, specialists, and healthcare facilities in both English and Spanish. Track referral status and ensure timely completion of referrals. Maintain accurate records of all referrals and related documentation. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to facilitate continuity of care. Assist with insurance authorization and referral requirements as needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office, referral coordination, front desk, or healthcare administrative role. Bilingual (English/Spanish) with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures. Familiarity with insurance verification, referrals, and billing processes is preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
