SUMMARY:
Greeting patients in a professional manner, making appt, taking vital signs, help assist co-workers as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be a licensed MA Greets and prepares patients for appointments/measures vital signs, and records information in PEMR. Keeps management informed of any supplies needed, both medical & clerical. Receives and screens telephone calls, schedules appointments, and checks the mail. Ensures compliance with HIPAA, maintains professionalism at all times while representing the company. Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality. Review the schedule in advance to ensure any eligibility & auth needs have been met and to print consent to treat forms. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of formal training program as a medical assistant in clinical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Strong charting/documentation, written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities, workflow, & multi-tasking. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Prior experience as Medical Assistant 1 year minimum. Bilingual skills required, must speak both English and Spanish. Dependability is a huge deal breaker. Ideal candidate - Can handle Medical Assistant& Front desk duties combined.

$16.00 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
